In light of the new album out very soon I've gone off and
copied all my Kraftwerk back to my hd. I started listening
to Ralf & Florian, which has some absolutely breathaking
beautiful music I'd never noticed. I always end up listening
to Computer World on repeat and stuff instead.

I do that with Trans-Europe Express and Metal On Metal.
You need to try this though: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004HYJA/qid=1058773469/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/002-2432934-2099255?v=glance&s=music&n=507846

I have. It hurt too much. I deleted it.
They were in New Orleans a bit back, supposedly.
As much as I try to love trans-europe express, I can't. It wrenches itself into my head and there are songs I like so much more than it, that it just seems mediocre in comparison.

Hmm, could you give a link to the new album?
And what is Ralf & Florian? I'm a fairly big Kraftwerk fan, but I always seem to have a hard time keeping up with current events.
Thanks.

Tour de France Soundtracks: http://www.kraftwerk.com/info/default.htm
Tour de France 2003 is a single out already, and the album comes out in a couple of weeks.
Ralf & Florian is kraftwerk's third album, an out of print LP. Kraftwerk 1 and Kraftwerk 2 are the first two, and then there's an album called Tone Float before that under a different name. http://www.allmusic.com for descriptions, dig through your music-stealing software of choice to get ahold of it.

Thanks.
I have every album between 1974 and 1986. I wasn't aware of their earlier or more recent works.
