I've taken to cooking up my own ringtones lately, it's quite fun.
I assigned Trans-Europe Express to everyone that wakes me up with
work to do. Default is a snippet of Joe le Taxi.

Yea...I paid for a ringtone once before deciding I wasn't going to get ripped off so I always cook my own. Current list: Halcyon, Cuts You Up, Gutter Glitter, Jesus Built My Hotrod, Oh My Goth, and Frank Costanza shouting "Serenity Now!"
Btw, that 8-track is hot.

that'd be an excellent little device to gut and put a PC in, if you could wire up some of the knobs and buttons, and use it as media server. i'd personally put a nice VFD or at least a blue LCD in place of the tuner display.

Hmm. Possibly on the knobs and buttons on that kind of thing, they're very analog though. Dunno. My media player is my kitchen laptop.
