rather foggy

lights on the port

That's looking out at the big lights of the port of N.O.

Last night I was pretty much stuck at home, with less than
a block visibility. Tonight I ended up having to go through
Manchac to get back from Mandeville, as fog closed the Causeway.
(Let me tell you, going 80mph on the Bonnet Carre Spillway in
the fog is insane. I was just trying to catch up to traffic.)

And speaking of Mandeville, we can't get insurance for the
parents' business office up there. No one's writing commercial
policies, not even as an extension of the business insurance
that's on their house. (Not only do insurance companies screw
homeowners, they don't care about small business either!)

Don't get me going on insurance Ms. Quates... but the fog, I'll take it anytime.

"...going 80mph on the Bonnet Carre Spillway...", my kind of driver.

Since I live right next to the mississippi river, the fog gets pretty thick...This is the first time I've really lived in this area of town. I just went outside to let the dog out and I can barely see a few houses down the street. Even the cabs are going slowly.

That particular stretch of highway is one of our lovely bridge-through-swampland stretches of interstate. No good cop-spots.

All insurance brokers are liars. Well not really, but you know how jaded I am Candice!

Seriously, it sucks that they don't have any over there anymore though.
