why I love go-cups

A friend sent me this track, which I had forgotten about,
the locals will appreciate the backing track, and the lyrics,
well, those are for the girls. Love Lily Allen.

"And no you cant have my number,
Because I've lost my phone."

I have SO used that line. Go-cups are so useful because when
someone is being annoying like that, you ask the bartender for
a go-cup, pour your drink into it, and head to the next bar.

music: Lily Allen: Knock 'Em Out
(And I have a new camera. All I have is dog pictures so far.)

You--"Because I lost my phone"

Him--"Oh, well then how can I get in tou.."

You--"Hold on, I've got to take this call.....ya, hey...no nothing going on here.....oh OK be there in a sec, bye......"
"Bartender, can I get a go-cup?"

A better excuse for in-bar situations is "Oh, my phone is for work, I don't give the number out."

Of course the best defense is to go out with guys, and grab the nearest friend as arm-candy when someone starts asking...

Agree: go-cups are nice.

Use some aim digits or something similar. Telephone numbers are expendable these days.

Ehh, no. I avoid giving out screennames as a rule, a lot of my friends don't even have them.

There's always the magic words "my boyfriend"...

Go-cups... do they exist?

In Canada (don't you love that, 'in Canada', as if it's an entirely different planet) we call drinks for the road 'travelers'... but they're definitely not supported by establishments/laws/etc.

Actually I did my first legal drinking in Canada... Went to school in Rochester for a few years.

Here you're allowed alcohol on the street so long as it's not in a glass or bottle. They only recently outlawed passengers with drinks in cars. (And the most fun rule: for daquiris from a drive-through, if there's no straw it isn't an open container.)
