I feel old already. Yay. Sushi has been had, and there might
be some drinks going on this weekend (Ms. Maes, Le Bon Temps,
other entertaining scenes within walking distance of my place.)
I have no plans, but I have no calculus class tonight, so for
that reason alone, it's going to be a good day. Sleep now.
(Oh, also, cute black legwarmers have been acquired.)

This weekend has consisted of sunlight, programming and
sleep. I turn 26 on Tuesday. Nothing planned other than
sushi with my parents and possibly grandparents at some point
this week. Cannot face beer yet, possibly this coming weekend.
I should buy new legwarmers for ballet since they are allegedly
in style and mine are from the 80s. My black ones even have
holes in the heels from wear.

Done for now, they are here. Flickr set later with a possibly
different combination. Far too lazy to do any more uploading.

Aren't they adorable?
I got home about an hour ago, and my head hurts already.
In theory I was leaving about six or seven to take a cab home.
In practice I ran into someone from high school who was meeting
up with another of my friends, and decided to stay out.
Saw Rex this morning, thanks to Ray and Gina, and went down to
Frenchmen with Simon and Ariel and met up with a pile of other
folks. Pictures forthcoming.
Now I'm going to curl up on the sofa and watch some Molto Mario
and get rid of this damn headache. Happy Mardi Gras.

Note to fratboys on parade route: Keep better control of that
wheeled ice chest, otherwise you will end up ridiculed like
the guys I saw today that lost a whole ton of beer to a spill.
"Free Beer!" said the crowd, as the crowd started "helping"
them clean up.
The crowds at Endymion today were insane. Like, complete
ladder hell out there to start with, and people all the way
past the neutral ground still watching the parade.

It is 34 degrees out. Might actually dip below freezing by
morning. It looks like the next few parade nights are going
to be very cold. Tonight was. I caught the end of Muses with
a few people, got a strand of red blinking LED* shoe beads and
a ton of the puzzle game ones.
No float pictures, as I didn't have my camera rigged for a neck
strap, and on the Uptown route I only carry as much as fits in
pockets. (But the new camera -does- fit in my bra, just like
the old one did. Yay!)
Last note, don't try to put a second hard drive sleeve on a
thinkpad drive. Makes it really difficult to get the drive out.
Stupid me forgot that was attached. In any case, I now have
a second disk with FreeBSD on the Thinkpad. Unix = Happy.

(From Krewe du Vieux. Also here.)
Anyone want to go to Muses with me? I get home from class
at 8 and live by the beginning of the parade route.

They are growing like weeds. Six or seven pounds heavier each
since the last pictures I posted. Coco on the left, Comet
on the right. Yes, I know the pictures are not good, but how
often are you going to catch one dog yawning in one frame, and
the other in the next.
And I can't leave out my Susie, with all these dog pictures.
In a return to tech ranting, there is an o200 in my trunk and
it weighs like 70 or 80 pounds and I do not want to get it up
the stairs. No more office, curse you insurance people, I have
nowhere to store my stuff.

How to debug a process that only crashes inside of cron and
has arguments. (commandfile contains: run -a -b\n where)
Cron will then helpfully mail the stack trace to you.

Went to Krewe du Vieux with a few people on Saturday night.
Unfortunately I was too far back to get marcher pictures, but
the floats were great as usual.
Spent the majority of the parade balancing on a barricade, so
as to be tall enough to get pictures. I like the little keg can,
it's easy to hold on to while taking pictures with the other hand
and steadying off the can...
More pictures! Keep checking that directory throughout the season.
(And go Colts!)

On the roof of the Robert's grocery store at Elysian Fields and
St. Claude, which is still closed. Gotta love disasterworld.
