do I need a caption?

messed up car

Lovely dent up top there, eh? The hood is more dented than
it looks, too, I washed her this weekend so she's still shiny.

Still a little shaky, and so not used to driving automatic.
Definitely no ballet class tomorrow.

Dude, you're a warrior.

Robert, I wouldn't go that far...

And yeah, I'm okay. Have the post-accident stress tension aches.

Thanks y'all. I go sleep now.

Holy Crap!

I am glad you are ok!

That happened to my dad once when he was driving the MG up to Boston. After that we installed safety straps on the hood. Hope the insurance comes in without too much hassle.

Yikes! I certainly know how that goes.

At least you're in one piece. Car stuff is fixable/replacable.

Thanks y'all. I'll be fine, I just miss my car.

Trev: I lucked out and got a smart cop, who used to be a mechanic, and he found what was wrong with the latch and fixed it to latch securely. It'll be replaced, though. The cop gave me some spare range glasses to keep glass from getting in my eyes on the couple miles back to the parents, too.

It's good that you are alright!

Car is just a thing and insurance takes a while.

Well, the thing is, a car is not just a thing.

This is America, where a car is part of your identity. (And having been stuck driving something completely out of character and been treated much differently this past week and a half, I want my car back NOW.)
