So. Yesterday I bought a new Blackberry Curve. T-Mobile
variant. Killer feature of the 8320: Wifi -and- they will
let you make calls over it. I can't remember the last time
I bought something within a few days of the model being

I was going to put off a new phone until next year (different
tax year, and my phone wasn't broken) but going to school for
five hours two days a week in the daytime has resulted in me
needing to answer email during the breaks, and thinkpad +
French book + Diff Eq book + 3 folders of notes = too heavy.

Only problem with this? I have a mildly weird mail setup
which means I need to deal with procmail to make a happy
blackberry. Testing my new rules with the overnight mail.

It's so shiny, and I totally see how people get addicted to
these things. It's so responsive and twitch-friendly.

Hmm...how much did it cost? Jenn has a Q but is a little upset with it (Windows ME sucks...even the "new and improved" version 6) and is thinking of a crackberry.

~250 after I get around to sending the last 50$ of rebate. The pearls are going for 150ish or 100 in various places, and I was thinking about that, but then this one showed up with Wifi and commanded me to buy it.

Clay has a Q and is somewhat annoyed by it as well, but verizon still doesn't have any blackberries with cameras.

Does one of the folders of notes contain instructions for the 8320? I'm concerned that you have two textbooks and three folders ...

Third class is CS Theory, and I don't need to carry that book to class.

Most days I don't carry the diff eq book, either, as this professor is good about rewriting everything on the board.

It took three days to crack out the instructions on the new toy, and that only because I wanted to figure out where the extra memory chip goes.

That rocks. WiFi and calls over it, kicks ass. I still have a SE K810i. Planning on being a student again so maybe I'll have to upgrade to something more interesting.

The wifi really is the killer feature. Phone browsing is fast with it. Even ssl pages work decently.

That and the whole interface is pretty speedy and multitasking friendly.

I actually don't need to buy the calls portion yet, but I like knowing I can and that the carrier permits it...
