I was going to post Christmas night, but hey.
Driving back from my parents house with Clay at night, after
having lunch at a hotel in the quarter with his mom and brother,
we figured we'd eaten bits of six or seven different animals.
Like alcohol, food has its limits. A couple hours later I got
sick as hell and spent most of yesterday in bed. Doh.
I wore heels on Christmas for probably the first time ever
for that lunch, so here is a picture of us in front of a fancy
tree. We then changed into jeans to go have dinner at my
parents house, which is generally casual and involves playing
with highly energetic poodles.

I drafted Clay into helping make the sesame seed cookies above,
it goes much quicker when you've got a second person to put them
in the seeds as they get cut. Recipe is here.

This mini we saw parked by the truck's home Uptown, when
we were taking it back from the Northshore. Took it on a trip
to Lacombe to get a bunch of free spare parts, and to my
grandparents' house to pick up a welder, and to my parents'
house to see them and the poodles.
I followed Clay in case anything were to go terribly wrong,
but nothing broke! In exchange for such good car luck, the
car gods got my car towed in the quarter on Sunday night,
but all is well now. I'm just out a hundred twenty dollars.

I officially have 92 credits and change at UNO, as I did
pass all three classes. B's in Diff Eq and CS Theory, and
an A in French. I got out with my sanity, but only barely.
This means that after six years, I am no longer a junior
in college. Sweet!

Went to City Park to see all the lights this weekend and
rode the finally-storm-restored wooden carousel. Yay.

Which, if you were wondering where I have been, the answer
to that is at Rue buried in a Diff Eq book, or under the
hood of the project trying not to get engine grease on my
clothes too badly. ID'ed the engine this weekend, it came
out of a 1980 Chevy pickup. Which means the stock horsepower
is dreadful, which puts the engine in line for a rebuild
and various "upgrades."
